I had never had the feeling of loving my hair at the salon until I got my first curly cut. That is when the idea for the curly girl was born. A salon by a curly girl, for curly haired people. Helping you find a love for your natural texture one day at a time.

Before I became a certified hairstylist, I was a curly girl. It can be simple, it can be easy, and curly hair is more beautiful than anything a hot tool can do. Like many Curlies, my journey started from a young age trying to control my curls – straightening, curling, and crimping – but those attempts at managing my curly hair never worked well.
When I started to embrace my curls, I found a DevaCurl stylist and it changed everything. Before this experience, I had never left the salon with dry hair or feeling understood. However, after learning how to properly handle my curly hair, I feel more understood and love the way my curly hair looks. After discovering how to embrace my curls, I decided that helping others with their curls was my calling.
I continue to take more advanced education and gain more knowledge about my craft. I started the Curly Girl to give Curlies a safe place to be able to feel beautiful in their natural texture. Thank you for trusting me with your curls.
